KERRY DAVIS – TCZAMD BAL
Currently Teaching:
NZAMD Snr Jazz - NZAMD Contemporary – NZAMD Ballet - BAL Jazz – Jnr and Snr performance.
Kerry is owner and full time teacher with Drury Lane and has been for the past 47 years. She is a freelance Director/ Choreographer. She also designs sets, costumes and lighting.
Her many annual accomplishments include, competition dances, choreography for body builders, fashion shows including ‘Restyled’, pre-match entertainment for international rugby games, choreography for productions.
She is the Director/Choreographer for the very successful Impact Cabaret. Kerry also trains the Drury Lane performance groups, seen performing at events and functions all around the Waikato. Kerry says’ “I love my job. This group of teacher’s are the best. You will get the experience of a lifetime if you come join us and dance”.
HANNAH DEVLIN
Currently Teaching:
NZAMD Jazz, Contemporary, Jnr & Int Performance
Hannah has been a part of the Drury Lane Dance and Performance family for the past 24 years and one of our valued teachers for the past 10 years. Over the years she has trained in Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Ballet, Musical Theatre and Contemporary. She has completed her NZAMD Solo in Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet & Hip Hop. As well as her BAL solos in Jazz and Tap.
At age 22, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Communication studies and now works full time for the Chiefs Rugby Club as the Partnership Lead.
Hannah has been nominated for NZAMD scholarships in Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet and Hip Hop, and was a member of the Intermediate Performance Group for 6 years giving her the opportunity to travel and perform in Disneyland, Los Angeles. With this group she has also performed around Waikato at many events such as All Black matches, Magic netball, Balloons over Waikato and Relay for Life. She has successfully competed in many dance competitions around the North Island and danced with the Chiefs Cheerleading squad. Hannah is currently a member of the Impact Dancers, which she loves and has choreographed for major events such as Coca Coca Christmas in the park and Lakeside Rotorua.
Hannah enjoys teaching all styles and levels. She is loving the opportunity to share her passion for dance with her students.
DANA BUCHANAN
Currently Teaching:
NZAMD and BAL Tap
Dana has been dancing with Drury Lane Dance and Performance for 22 years. During this time, she has studied a range of styles including Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Ballet, Contemporary and Musical Theatre. She has completed her BAL Major Solo in Tap and NZAMD Solos in Tap and Hip Hop.
Dana is also currently working as the Venues Systems and Administration Manager at the University of Waikato, supporting events at the Gallagher Academy of Performing Arts and The Paa where she enjoys being exposed to a huge range of concerts and performances.
Dana is really enjoying the opportunity to share her love of dance and music with her students.
ASHLEY BAUERFEIND
Currently Teaching:
NZAMD Ballet - BAL Ballet
Ashley joined Drury Lane in 2008. She was a part of the Performance Group and More Impact before moving to Sydney to study Performing Arts.
She graduated from ED5 International with a Diploma in Performing Arts as a Vocal Major. She has trained in RAD and the Vaganova method for ballet as well as in, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop and Commercial Jazz.
Some of Ashley’s professional work includes; The NSW Premier’s Concerts, Phantom of the Opera and the Style Runner brand launch.
ABBEY DAY
Currently Teaching:
NZAMD Hip Hop & Jazz
Abbey is 19 years old and is in her 2nd year at Waikato University studying a Bachelor of Arts. Abbey has been dancing with Drury-lane since her first dance class in 2014. Throughout this time Abbey has studied NZAMD jazz, hip hop, tap, contemporary, Ballet and BAL jazz. She has also completed her Hip hop solo diploma in 2020.
She was in the intermediate performance group for the two years, this group has brought many performing opportunities around Hamilton and Auckland. She was also a member of the Drury-lane hip hop crew for three years, this gave her experience in dance competitions around the north island. Abbey was nominated for the NZAMD scholarship nationals for several years in hip hop.
Abbey is very excited to teach and mentor students and share her love of dance.
ALEX PEACOCK
Currently Teaching:
NZAMD Tap
Alex has been dancing with Drury Lane Dance and Performance for 14 years, and has studied the styles of Tap, Jazz and Contemporary. She completed her BAL Tap Major Solo in 2020, and in 2022 she was nominated for NZAMD Scholarship Nationals in Tap.
Alex is 21 years old and has just completed her Bachelor of Design in Spatial Design. This year she is undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Communication. Alex is a talented artist with a creative flair and is looking forward to sharing her love of dance with her students
PYPER KERR
Currently Teaching:
NZAMD Jnr Jazz, NZAMD Jnr Ballet, BAL Ballet
Pyper has been dancing for 20 years and in this time, has trained in Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap and Contemporary. She was in the Intermediate Performance Group from 2015-2019 and now performs in the Impact group at various events around New Zealand. Notable performances include All Black rugby games, New Zealand Netball Finals and Coca Cola Christmas in the Park.
Pyper is also heavily involved in local theatre. She has performed in shows such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Oliver and Grease. When not on stage, she may be found backstage working alongside her mum in the hair & makeup team.
She has graduated with a Bachelor of Education (Primary Teaching) and works as a full-time teacher. Pyper loves being able to combine her passions for both teaching and dance, to mentor the upcoming generations of performers!
ANNELIESE CLARK
Anneliese Clark has been dancing with Drury Lane Dance and Performance since she was three years old, and throughout the last 15 years she has studied BAL tap, Ballet, BAL Jazz, NZAMD Jazz, Musical Theatre and Contemporary. She has participated in Tap and Ballet competitions, performing solos and duos.
Anneliese is 18 years old and has just graduated from Hamilton Girls High School. Anneliese has been a member of the Drury Lane Junior Performance Group and then invited to join the Drury Lane Intermediate Performance Group. Being part of these dance groups has provided Anneliese with both the skill and confidence, to become a Choreographer for the Hamilton Boys High and Hamilton Girls High School Production. As well as choreographing dances to for the High School Student to compete in the NZMade Dance Competitions, she has also held dance classes for both the Junior and Senior Students as well as being part of the Dance Council.
Anneliese is very excited to share her love and passion of dance with her students!
